HGP Gives Back
Community-Building & Charitable Programs

Home & Garden Party is committed to furthering cancer research and helping the American Cancer Society provide hope and support for people living with cancer.

Since 2001, the Home & Garden Party family has contributed more than $415,266 to the American Cancer Society.
Proceeds from the 2003 “Have a Heart” program contributed to the Society’s colorectal cancer awareness campaign and helped provide college scholarships for deserving students.

In previous years, Home & Garden Party promotions have supported breast cancer research, cancer awareness campaigns for underprivileged and medically underserved communities and summer camp programs for childhood cancer patients.

Please join us in thanking the over 26,000 Designers from Home & Garden Party who have helped make a difference in the fight against cancer. We look forward to continuing to help the American Cancer Society through our 2004-2006 "Have a Heart” Candle campaign.

Heroes of 9-11

September 2001 will be remembered for generations of Americans.  It's a day that stands out in my life because my birthday is September 11th.  My family & I were eating pancakes when a friend called to tell us to watch the television...

I wanted to do something for my local firemen and policemen...

From the Chatham (IL) Clarion, September 2004:

"Local mother and entrepreneur Lisa DeClue presents a print of the American flag, along with Americana mugs and gifts, to the Chatham Police Department and Chief Roy Barnett Wednesday morning (9/22) as part of her tribute to the anniversary of September 11.  DeClue, an Independent Designer for 'Home & Garden Party,' decided to make a difference in Chatham by honoring the Heroes of 9-11.

"In memory of those who courageously fought to save others' lives only to lose their own, I felt by honoring my local police I would be able to give back to this community," DeClue said.  Several local businesses helped participate in the effort.  DeClue, whose birthday falls on Sept. 11 also, added, "I wanted to let our local officers know that they are appreciated."  The 'Old Glory' print is inscribed with the words of President Bush: "We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail."

I plan to coordinate a similar presentation to the fire laddies this September, beginning in early August.  If you would like to contribute and/or make a donation, kindly email me. Thank you!
